Analytical Development

The Analytical Development group is composed of researchers with an established background in addressing real-life problems concerning the quantification of small molecules in a plethora of matrixes. The group combines a vast expertise in Instrumental Methods of Analysis, Organic Chemistry, Chemometrics, and Chemical Engineering to develop innovative analytical solutions using sustainable methods.

The Group focuses on improving analytical methods towards the reduction of reagents consumption, protection of work/lab environment, deployment of point-of-care/in situ analysis, and exploitation of technological developments from other areas, namely from mechanical and electronic engineering. For that purpose, research efforts have been devoted to the miniaturization of devices and methods, to advanced data analysis through chemometrics, and to the development of high throughput methods mainly through intervention on sample preparation.
