Margarida Maia is a Researcher at LAQV@REQUIMTE and an Invited Assistant Professor at the Biomedical Sciences Institute of Abel Salazar, University of Porto, since 2017. Her main research interests include alternative feeding strategies to mitigate the environmental impact of ruminant production, to modulate the rumen lipid metabolism and to improve the nutritional and functional value of ruminant edible products. Margarida has published 41 articles in international peer reviewed journals (h-index 17) and four book chapters. Margarida was a team member of 8 projects successfully concluded, and is a team member of 5 ongoing projects, 4 in co-promotion. Margarida was co-supervisor of one PhD student ans is currently supervisor of one PhD student and co-supervisor of two PhD students.
