Tariq is an Experimental Physical Chemist with a strong interest in characterizing bulk thermodynamic, transport and surface behaviour of liquids and liquid mixtures. Recently he started to work in the area of functionalized ionic liquids (ILs) to address the issue of the formation of Gas Hydrates (GHs) in the production pipelines during gas processing. Moreover, the development of biocompatible ILs-based GH technology for energy storage, CO2 capture and gas transportation are other directions in which he is focusing at this stage.
