Inês S. Marques (ISM) received her BSc in chemistry in 2019 with BSc's project entitled "Nanomateriais de carbono como novas plataformas para tecnologias de conversão e armazenamento de energia". In 2021, she received her master's degree in chemistry at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, with the dissertation entitled "Novel biomass-derived materials as efficient electrocatalysts for O2 reactions". In July 2022, ISM received a PhD grant from FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. Since February of 2021 ISM is a researcher fellow at Associated Laboratory for Green Chemistry (LAQV@REQUIMTE). ISM did a 1-year specialization in environmental economics and management at the Faculdade de Economia da Universidade do Porto (FEP), where she is acquiring knowledge in areas related to sustainable development, with special emphasis on environment and energy. Her main scientific and technological interests are: Electrochemistry, Sustainable processes, Materials design and characterization, Energy Storage and Conversion, Green chemistry and Bioeconomy.
