Researcher

Doctor in Chem Eng (PhD Dec. 2009), Senior Researcher (Mar. 2015). Author of 74 publications (H=31, H10=61, 4051citations), 73 proceedings and 225+ contributions in conferences. He has participated in 24 funded projects (3 EU). His research experience encompasses areas from liquid chromatography field, mainly in the intensification of the simulated moving bed technology, to the development of ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents as novel, advanced, smart materials (critical evaluation in the field of green chemistry) and their study in separation/purification processes, aqueous biphasic systems, solubilisation and aggregation mechanisms, biomass valorisation, drug delivery, as well as the development of pharmaceutically active ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents. Additionally, it focusses the development of technologies for the removal and implementation of circular economy for fluorinated compounds (greenhouse fluorinated gases (F-gases) and PFAS).
