Catarina Viola holds a Bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry and a Master’s degree in bioorganic chemistry, specializing in the synthesis and characterization of luminescent zeolites. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry with the subject: “Chalcogen-doped zeolites for near-infrared applications”, integrating CHARM and VICARTE research groups in NOVA FCT.
Her expertise includes material synthesis as well as structural and optical characterization of materials, using techniques such as XRD, XRF, and steady-state and time-resolved absorption and emission spectroscopies.
