Academic Staff
Ana Aguiar-Ricardo is Professor of the Department of Chemistry, FCT NOVA, specialised in green chemistry and supercritical technology. Her research has focused on the development of i) responsive polymers, their processing and the design of new functionalization methodologies; ii) non-invasive platforms for controlled drug delivery (e.g. via dermal and pulmonary routes), and for bioseparation.
Currently, she is the Head of Chemistry Department, coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Sustainable Chemistry and of the Materials Research Group for Sustainability and Wellbeing at LAQV REQUIMTE; she was the President of the EuChemS Division of Green and Sustainable Chemistry (2019-2023) and more recently was nominated SPQ representative in the Polymer Division of IUPAC (2020-2024).
