Bruno Jorge Antunes Colaço obtained his PhD degree at Veterinary Faculty, University of Leon, Spain, in 2008. He started teaching veterinary Anatomy at UTAD in 2002 and is currently assistant professor. He has co-authored 65 full manuscripts in international peer-reviewed journals. Since 2010 he is accredited by the corresponding national authorities (DGAV) has an investigator-coordinator to perform animal experimentation. His research in the last ten years has been focused in the fields of animal models (bone regeneration, cartilage regeneration and cancer), osteoarthritis imaging and biomedical potential of agriculture-based products.
