Duarte Rente has completed an Integrated Master's degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engeneering in 2017 at Faculdade de Ciências e Técnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. During his master thesis he developed work in the optimization process of methane production through carbon dioxide hydrogenation. This work required the use of supercritical carbon dioxide and ionic liquids and it has been published in a specialized journal. Currently he is a research fellow at Des.solve research group and his work is dedicated to the production on NaDES for the extraction and stabilization of phenolic compounds from beetroot peel.
