M Amparo F Faustino is Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Aveiro. She got her PhD (1999) in Chemistry-Organic Synthesis. Her scientific interests are related with the synthesis and functionalization of tetrapyrrolic macrocycles and analogues, to be used in DSSC, as sensors and in several photodynamic approaches. She was inventor of 3 patents, published 17 book chapters and more than 215 scientific papers in ISI journals (H-index 44. Citations 6,700).
Presently holds the positions of President of Medicinal Chemistry and Biological Chemistry Division of SPQ, National Adhering Organizations (NAO) representant at EFMC, President of the Aveiro Regional Delegation, President (2021-2023), of European Photobiology Society (ESP).
