M Amparo F Faustino is Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Aveiro. She got her PhD (1999) in Chemistry-Organic Synthesis. Her scientific interests are related with the synthesis and functionalization of porphyrins and analogues, to be used in DSSC, as sensors and in several photodynamic approaches. She was inventor of 3 patents, published 20 book chapters and more than 240 scientific papers in ISI journals (H-index 48. Citations 8,300).
Presently holds the positions of Past-President of Medicinal Chemistry and Biological Chemistry Division of SPQ, President of the Aveiro Regional Delegation, and Past-President (2023-2025) of European Photobiology Society (ESP).
