Eliana Alves graduated in Biomedical Laboratory Science by Porto Polytechnic Institute (Porto, Portugal), has a MSc and a PhD degrees in Biology (Dept. of Biology and CESAM of the University of Aveiro (Aveiro, Portugal). From 2014 to 2019, she got expertise in lipidomics of olives and olive oil. In 2019, Eliana became a researcher at the Mass Spectrometry Centre of the UA to pursuit her research on the same topic. Eliana has published over 35 papers (h index=20) and 1 book, issues 1 national patent, has done more than 40 communications in scientific meetings, has co-supervised several BSc and MSc students, has been a reviewer for more than 25 peer-reviewed indexed scientific journals, and participated in more than 20 academic juries.
