Diana Pinto studied chemistry at the University of Aveiro, where she graduated in analytical chemistry in 1991. In 1996 she received her PhD in chemistry at Aveiro University. She published more than 130 SCI papers, 20 book chapters and delivery more than 25 talks in scientific meetings. Nowadays, Diana Pinto main research interests are centered in the organic synthesis field and natural products chemistry. Specifically: a) establishment of new synthetic organocatalyzed, metal-catalyzed and enzymatically catalyzed methods; b) establishment of chemical profiles of natural resources (terrestrial and marine) using GC- and UHPLC-MS; c) extraction, purification and structural elucidation of natural compounds from natural resources.
