Researcher
Joana Costa has PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2013) and MSc in Quality Control - Water/Food Specialty (2009) (Faculdade de Farmácia, Universidade do Porto) and graduation in Biochemistry (2004) (Faculdade de Ciências, UP). Researcher at REQUIMTE LAQV/FFUP, main research activities in Food Allergy (developing DNA-/protein-based methods and studying structural properties of food allergens). Other research areas: food authentication, identification of plant/animal species and GMO detection by DNA methods. She has >60 articles (H-index 16), 4 chapters, 50 oral/87 poster presentations, organizing committee (7 events), 11 awards. Participation in n=15 national/international projects and MC member of Cost Actions (CA18127, CA18227, FA1402)
