Ana M. G. Silva is an assistant researcher at LAQV-REQUIMTE, at University of Porto. Ana Silva develops her work in the group of Molecular synthesis, in particular the laboratory “Chelators to Life” (https://www.chel2life.org).
Ana Silva received her diploma in Chemistry- Food Chemistry- from the University of Aveiro in 1997 and completed her PhD degree in Chemistry at the same University in 2002. During her career, she has awarded national and international projects in the field of chemistry and also material sciences. Her current research interests are in the chemical synthesis, including (a) porphyrins; (b) fluorescent xanthene dyes; (c) chelating ligands and (d) synthetic methodologies granting the sustainable chemistry concepts.
