Over the past years, new members from different universities and institutes have joined LAQV, and a national dimension was attained.
LAQV researchers are spread across Aveiro, Bragança, Cantanhede, Coimbra, Évora, Guarda, Leiria, Lisbon, Oeiras, Oporto, Viana do Castelo, Vila Real, and Viseu. The distribution of LAQV over the Portuguese territory enables an improved scientific and technologic capacity and a synergy of resources and interactions with different stakeholders.
It is the flagship Program of LAQV. In 2013/18, it was supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) with 50 PhD fellowships (10 new ones per year). This PhD Program has an average attendance of more than 20 students per edition.
LAQV also aims to improve the awareness of the society for the importance of Sustainable Chemistry. Several public awareness activities are carried out each year, including science exhibits, open days, and activities targeting high schools.
